lazarus—rising has bumped into you.

Roy really enjoyed this couch by the looks of it, huddled into the arm chair with one of the small pillows. His chills weren’t letting up any and he had goosebumps but he’d ignore them for now. When the food is set before him, he flashes a smile and grabs for the bowl of pasta eagerly. It was good that he had an appetite now, because it might be gone by tomorrow morning. One of the many effects of withdrawal being the lack of hunger.

                                   ”Thanks, Chef Jaybird.”

He hums as he twists his fork into the bowl and eats a big mouthful without too much hesitation, hoping it tastes as good as it looks. “Mm.” There was the sign that it did in-fact taste good, slurping it right down. He pats a hand on the couch next to him, gesturing for Jason to sit by him.

“Sit and eat, will you? Your standing about makes me nervous.”

A soft snort erupt from the ex-Robin, green eyes rolling while he too, takes a seat on the sofa to start digging into the pasta. “You haven’t dropped the nickname for me yet. Bad idea, Gingersnaps.” He muses aloud playfully, twirling his fork and scooping a portion of the spaghetti into his mouth.

The low hum of the television nearby brought him a strange serenity of calm, despite his earlier fixations of beating the absolute hell out of the archer and nearly drowning him in the shower. Though, there was always a pending amount of possibilities that could erupt at any moment. Jason had little time to relax, despite the mood.

Jason’s favourite flowers are obviously forget-me-nots.
(also I’m thinking about selling some of my Jason drawings for relatively cheap, so if you’re interested in any of them send me a message.)

He could almost literally feel those eyes locked on him closely, but besides the fidgeting and occasional shaking hands, he wasn’t too bad yet. It could get worse within the next hour, however. His entire body was beginning to ache in various places and he was cold, reminding him of how the flu felt but he did well to pretend he was fine. That growing hunger for another hit, another high was going to be the thing to really break this normality.

Roy tilts his head to the side and flashes a smile at Jason’s words, still pretty flattered that he was getting a place to stay. Not quite short of a jail cell when he thought about it, but it was way better than being locked up in an actual cell. Plus, he had some company here and hopefully… good food.

The hand on his neck makes him shiver slightly, mostly from the nice warmth of it against chilled skin. “Heh, nah. In my state, I’d do better to just burn your place down. Probably safest to leave this to you.” He chuckles and lightly tugs that hair before releasing it, wandering over to take a seat in a chair.

It wasn’t going to get better anytime soon, but Jason was sure he could cover up the lesser symptoms with simple catering. He smirks, lowering his hand while the archer returns to his perch on the sofa. It took only a few more minutes to really cook the pasta to edible state. Grabbing a strainer nearby, he dumps the pot into the sink and stirs the sauce into the mixture.

Two bowls and plastic cups were set out with forks, filled to order and stuck on the coffee table in front of Roy. “Dig in.”

Send one to see how my muse reacts.
  • "There’s nowhere we can hide."
  • "Don’t get too close."
  • "Maybe I should kill myself."
  • "I’m not listening."
  • "No one can hurt you now."
  • "Who do you think you are?"
  • "You’re gonna catch a cold."
  • "I wish that you would just leave."
  • "I love the way you laugh."
  • "A little evil goes a long, long way."
  • "Drink the wine."
  • "Maybe we could stick around for one more drink."
  • "Here’s to us."
  • "The last few days have kicked my ass."
  • "Nothing lasts forever."
  • "I don’t know what went wrong."
  • "I don’t need you here."
  • "Did I fall asleep?"
  • "I will not die."
  • "I’ll wait here for you."
  • "I feel numb."
  • "Deal with it."
  • "I don’t care."
  • "I hate the way I love you."
  • "I have no regrets."
  • "I love you too much to hide you."
  • "I didn’t kill anybody."
  • "There is no God."
  • "All monsters are human."
  • "You look beautiful, but you don’t look fine."
  • "You’re a liar and a cheat."
  • "Why do you think I’m here?"
  • "Crap, are you pregnant?"
  • "This is just perfect."
  • "You’ve done enough already."
  • "Do you know about the box?"

lazarus—rising has bumped into you.

Being a shameless flirt was just a part of his personality that was more than likely to stay no matter what, but it only did so when he was around certain individuals. He’s gotten away with quite a bit of playful teasing and flirting on Jason in the past, so he continues to test his limits involving such. “My dreams? Yeah, how did you know?” The redhead grins wide at Jason as he twists around in the couch, eventually moving to stand after becoming restless.

He wanders around to the kitchen area to lean against the counter and watch the other, arms crossing over his chest tightly. There was some serious chills going, but he didn’t want to complain about the temperature. It was more than likely just him anyway. “So uh, how long are you really gonna let me hang here? I’ve never known you to be incredibly generous, man.” It was a big deal when this guy offered to share his home and items with you.

He reaches over to try and sneak a playful ruffle of the other male’s multicolored hair, peering into the pot curiously. “Sure hope you don’t burn it somehow.”

Sharp green eyes flicker across each shift, twitch, and twinge of muscle that the archer may or may not make voluntarily. He doesn’t miss a beat either, already knowing that the guy could become restless and edgy within moments. Roy on drugs wasn’t a good thing, and neither was Roy suffering from withdrawal. Apprehension stained the redhead’s face, a growing pain that bled through his poorly articulated facade. Jason knew it wouldn’t be long before rebellion occurred, despite the disadvantage.

The question earned a small smirk and brief nod. “You’re an exception right now.” Choosing not to answer the subject of time frame was probably the best bet. Withdrawal could take up to 72-hours at the least, but there would be lingering symptoms for months beyond that. Complete and total rehab seemed ages away, but Jason was willing to try for Roy.

Moving to his feet, he closes back into the kitchen to stare at the boiling contents and slips a hand behind Roy’s neck and gives it a playful squeeze just as the other ruffles Jay’s two-toned hair. “If you can do better, go right ahead.”
